A special, holiday exclusive romantic getaway can be achieved by simulating a luxurious lodge. A plush wool Flotaki rug with wrought iron candle stands topped with ivory candles, a deep basket with cranberry and forest colored Afghans and your music player loaded with orchestral holiday songs will provide an instant romantic getaway in your own bedroom.
Christmas Lights Ok, you already have lots of candles all around. But you shoul stop on it. Dont forget about lighting. Unlike candles, Christmas lights is a safe way to make your tree shine and sparkle. Use different combination of colors, forms and sizes. Install the strings of lights on every edge or surface. They will make your house really festive.
Is your Christmas a primarily religious occasion? Then bring that into your space - perhaps with a small Nativity Scene. Is it mostly about family? Then include photos of your family members in the room and even take digital photos of new arrivals and print them out on your computer. Then place those around the room so everyone feels included.
-Do you buy just one piece in a set, or everything that matches? This would depend, I suppose, on whether or not you have the money or the credit to buy an entire bedroom or living room set, and if you are able to move out old furniture in a timely manner. As with other stores, furniture shops are likely to offer good deals on sets, so you may be able to afford to buy everything at once. Dont stop at the first place you find, however. Take your time and browse all your options, especially if youre looking for something specific like a style or wood grain.
No other holiday encourages decorations quite like Christmas. Who doesn t love a home filled with festive garland, scents of pine cones and the warm inviting look of Poinsettias? There are numerous ways to fill your home with the sights, sounds and scents of Christmas.
